Postdoctoral Fellow, Department of Biology and Natural Resource Ecology Lab, Colorado State University
Biography
Pablo obtained his Ph.D. in 2010 at Rey Juan Carlos University (Madrid, Spain) working on the effects of plant-soil microorganism interactions on ecosystem functioning in roadside grasslands undergoing secondary succession. Another major area of his Ph.D. research was focused on plant and ecosystem responses to soil nutrient heterogeneity. During his doctoral experience, Pablo was also involved in several collaborative projects regarding the functional ecology of dryland ecosystems. In 2011, he worked at Rey Juan Carlos University as a Postdoc on a project aimed to elucidate the effects of plant domestication on litter decomposition rates and nutrient cycling. He will be joining the Wall lab for a year from Jan 2012. His research during his stay at Colorado State University will be devoted to assess the relative importance of climate, litter quality and soil biota for litter decomposition at different spatial scales.
