Dr. Diana Wall’s team from Colorado State University and colleagues from Dartmouth College, Virginia Tech and Brigham Young University are on location at the McMurdo station on Ross Island, Antarctica. From McMurdo they have been flying via helicopter to perform field work in the McMurdo Dry Valleys Long-Term Ecological Research site. Click here for further info on this and previous field teams.
Dr. Wall’s team is investigating how the soil organisms of this remote environment cope with the extreme environmental conditions, and how they respond to climate change. Follow the team’s adventures here.
