Scientists Converge at CSU to Discuss Antarctic Conservation

A meeting chaired by Dr. John Priscu (Montana State University) and co-chaired by CSU professors Dr. Adrian Howkins, environmental historian, and Diana Wall, soil ecologist, brought more than 40 Antarctic scientists to Colorado State University, with the aim of improving the environmental management of the McMurdo Dry Valleys. The Wall lab was involved in organizing the NSF workshop, entitled “Environmental Assessment of the McMurdo Dry Valleys: Witness to the Past and Guide to the Future”.
