Our work on soil biodiversity responses to Amazonian deforestation, in collaboration with Bruno Sobral & Artur Silva from UFPA (Brazil), is on the cover of Conservation Biology this month (June 2019)! Thanks to dozens of published studies on this topic we were able to generate the first data synthesis on the consequences of deforestation in the so-called ‘lungs of the planet’ to belowground biodiversity.
