We congratulate Eden Senay for her acceptance at Yale University! As a sophomore in high school, Eden spent the 2016 Summer on a science internship with the Wall lab. During the internship, she developed an experiment that showed that the so-called root lesion nematode, P. penetrans, infects dominant grass species in the arid shortgrass and moist tallgrass prairies, and she presented these results at the poster session of the 2017 Front Range Student Ecology Symposium. You can read more about Eden’s work at the Wall lab here.
We have no doubts that Eden’s journey through college will be full of enthusiasm and dedication. Lots and lots of success, Eden! Keep smiling, and stay in touch.
